FixProof

Terms of Service

Version 2026-10-10.2

FixProof is a service of Tars Technologies Private Limited, India ("we", "us"). By ticking "I agree" and submitting a scan request, you ("you") accept these Terms. If you submit on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind it to these Terms.

1. What FixProof does

You give us the address of a live web application and, optionally, a link to its source code repository. We run automated, read-only checks against the live site and automated static analysis on the code, and email you a report of what those checks found, with suggested fixes.

2. You may only scan applications you own or are authorized to test

Do not submit anyone else's website, app or code. Scanning a system without its owner's permission may be an offence under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including Sections 43 and 66) and similar laws in other countries.

By submitting a scan request you confirm that:

You must not use FixProof to:

If we believe a request is unauthorized, we may, without notice: ask you for proof of ownership or permission; refuse, stop or delete the scan; withhold or revoke the report; block further requests; and inform the affected site's owner or the relevant authorities (including CERT-In), and cooperate with any lawful investigation.

You are solely responsible for having authorization. You agree to indemnify Tars Technologies against any claim, loss, penalty or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from a scan you requested without proper authorization, or from your misuse of a report.

3. No guarantee — a report is not a certification

FixProof runs a fixed set of automated checks. It does not find every vulnerability, may report issues that turn out not to be problems, and checks only what was reachable at the time of the scan. A report that lists few or no findings does not mean your application is free of vulnerabilities, compliant with any standard, or safe from attack. Suggested fixes and "fix prompts" are starting points that you must review and test before applying. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows.

4. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Tars Technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including a security breach, loss of data, revenue, profit or goodwill, whether or not a scan identified the cause. Our total liability for any claim relating to FixProof is limited to the amount you paid us for FixProof in the 12 months before the claim arose, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

5. Your code and data

Your repository is cloned into an isolated, single-use container with no network access, scanned, and deleted when the scan finishes. We keep the findings and the report, and the contact details you give us, as described in our Privacy Policy. We treat your findings as confidential, we do not sell them, and we do not use your code or findings to train AI models. Report links are private: anyone who has the link can open the report, so do not forward it.

6. Fair use

Do not overload, disrupt or attempt to break the service, submit automated or bulk requests, or try to access other customers' reports. We may limit or suspend access to protect the service.

7. Fees

FixProof is currently offered free of charge during early access. If we introduce paid plans, the price and any refund terms will be shown to you before you pay, and these Terms will be updated.

8. Help fixing findings

If you ask Tars Technologies to fix findings for you, that work is governed by a separate agreement or quote, not by these Terms.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; the version date above will change, and the version you agreed to is recorded with each scan request. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
